What is the difference between a General Specification and a Custom Specification?
General Specifications will automatically include all building requirements.
Custom Specifications allow you to select specific building requirements relevant to your project.
What are Class 1 and 10 buildings?
Class 1 buildings are dwellings of a domestic or residential nature. This includes houses, duplexes, town houses, granny flats, and the like.
Class 10 buildings are non-habitable. This includes garages, carports, sheds, swimming pools, fences, retaining walls, and the like.
How do I create a Building Specification?
Simply fill out the online form to generate a specification. The specification will be emailed directly to you. A step-by-step guide can be found on our instructions page: Create a Building Specification.
How do I make a payment?
Fill in your card details when prompted after creating your building specification. We only accept payments via card. You will also receive an email requesting payment after specification creation. You may refer to this email to complete payment at a later date or forward it to a client. A step-by-step guide can be found on our instructions page: Review & Payment.
Stripe is used as our payment platform and is trusted by many major businesses as it is a PCI Level 1 service provider - the highest level of certification in the payments industry.
Can I edit my specification?
Yes, you can review and edit your building specification any time by logging into the Dashboard. A step-by-step guide can be found on our instructions page: Dashboard: Login.
What information can be edited?
Before payment, all development details (e.g. names, site address, development description, and NCC version) and building specification requirements can be edited.
After payment, only building specification requirements can be edited. This includes changing between general and custom specification options, and selecting custom building requirements.
The email address cannot be changed once the specification has been created. Please ensure this information is correct before proceeding.
Are there any fees to edit my specification?
No, it’s absolutely free! There are no additional fees to edit your specification. You can edit your building specification requirements any time by logging into the Dashboard.
